The Best Flapjack Recipe EVER!

Hello lovlies, I hope you're doing fab!

Today, I have the best flapjacks recipe in the WORLD for you. I have to share it with you... I actually found this recipe on Zoella's blog a while back, and I decided to give it a go and I have never looked back since! These flapjacks are always so fluffy and perfect when I make them, I love this recipe. It turns out that it is a Jamie Oliver recipe, so Zoella took Jamie's recipe, and I'm taking it from Zoella. We're all sharing here guys, share is caring!

I really hope you'll give this recipe a try and if you do, please let me know how you got on, and what you thought!

This recipe makes about 9 large flapjacks, and it's super simple and quick to make!

YOU WILL NEED:

- 6 large eggs

- 230g plain flour

- 2 heaped teaspoons baking powder

- 280ml milk

- 2 pinches salt

- whisk or electric beater (helps the arms from tiring out)

- spatular

- ladle

- scale or measuring jugs/cups

- non-stick frying pan

- two mixing bowls

- sift

RECIPE:

So, first of all, you'll start off with your eggs. Separate the egg yolk from the whites, in their own separate bowls. You'll want to beat the whites together (adding the pinches of salt), until they are light and fluffy. You'll know they're ready and firm enough when they form white peaks (also, if you're brave enough, like me, you can tip the bowl upside down, to see if they stay in the bowl; this means they're ready to go ad they're firm enough).

In the bowl with the egg yolks, you want to sift in your flour and baking powder, followed by the milk. Beat these together until they are mixed well and combined.

You'll then want to take your eggs whites and start folding them into your batter. You want to take your time with this as you're trying to capture as much air as possible so that your flapjacks will be nice, fluffy, and bouncy. This might take a little while to get all the lumps and bumps out, but be sure not to lose too much air in the process and take your time.

Then taking your ladle, take one ladleful of batter, and pour it into a non-stick pan (as this is the best way for perfect results), on low/medium heat. Make sure your pan isn't too hot as you don't want to burn the outside of the flapjack, and have the inside is uncooked still. So be patient, and wait for little bubbles to pop up on surface of the flapjack. This indicates that it's cooking through and it's ready to be flipped over! The perfect flapjack has a lovely golden, bronze colour (as you'll see below), that's when you'll know they're ready to go.

Then when you've got all your flapjacks, you can get eating them up, and topping them with all your fav and yummy toppings!

Thanks to Zoella for introducing this amazing Jamie Oliver recipe to me, it's incredible! I would even go to say that you can never fail with this recipe, which you essentially can't... but I will be honest and admit that at the time I made these and shot the process (all by myself), they came out a little less fluffy than usual, and possible my worst batch (not bad for the worst ever batch). I will not lie to you, but I was multitasking; shooting for the blog and cooking! So don't do that when you make yours haha, only the end result. They still tasted SO good nonetheless!

Go give this recipe a try one morning (or evening!) and tell me how it went, you can find me on my social media links on the top header of my blog, and send me your attempts!

Thanks for reading loves! <3
