What I Got For My 20th Birthday

Hey everyone, I hope you're all doing well :) (Happy Valentines Day - this has nothing to do with V-Day though!)

So it was my birthday last month, and I got loads of really lovely gifts from friends and family, I was spoilt rotten I tell you & I'm so grateful. I wish I had pictures of my cakes! They were awesome, I ended up getting two really cool birthday cakes because my brother didn't come over to the house to eat any, so... fatness for days.

Just to quickly sum up the day... I saw my brother for most of the morning, went to The Toad in the Road for lunch, and had an orange juice (I didn't have time to eat hahah, I had to go fetch Gabs from crèche afterwards). Then I saw my big sister Nicole for a little bit, and later in the evening we went for cocktails at Hudsons in Claremont, with some friends, followed by checking out the new club on Stadium on Main called Zhivago, where my brother and I both got a bottle of champagne for free. So that was fun.

Here are some presents I received:

I received this very old Remington Rand typewriter from my mom, and it is so sick! I just need to fix him up, and get new ribbon and I'll be ready to go, hehe.

This lovely pillow case was from my brother's girlfriend, Jess. It's a very "me" style and I love it.

Jess also got me this sweet basket from H&M, which she gave me my presents in. And this mug is from my tiny little sister Gab, it is SO pretty, and it's the only mug I use at the moment.

My friend Kiara bought me this beautiful picture-frame cork-board, it looks amazing on my desk.

My dad and stepmom got me my first filming light! Although I'm not 100% sure how to use it correctly, I'm working on it and I'll get there eventually.

Mick's brother made me this glasses case, which is so special because it's handmade. My best friend Kerah bought me my very first book to start of my Mortal Instruments series collection EEEEP! And Jess also got me this cute pineapple candle.

Mick's mom got me this delicious Baylis & Harding bath and shower silk, and Kiara also got me my first Lush bath bomb! (even though I don't have a bath in my bathroom - I'll have to use my little sisters haha). And that is the Twilight bath bomb & it smells insane.

Clearly my friends know me and my love for all things beauty haha. Kirsten and Dani got me the two stunning nail polishes, the gorgeous Essence lipstick (which I'm IN LOVE with - I'm so impressed with it), and they also got me the L'oreal eyeshadow, as well as Essence The Metals eyeshadow, and the very pretty nail kit. And Kiara got me the classic "kitten" eyeshadow from Stila, which I have been wearing to DEATH already.

The ring on the left is from Mick's dad and stepmom, and the one on the right is from Gab again, because she loves me to "infinity and beyond" which is so cute and sweet, I love it a lot.

I am very spoilt with all my presents. My presents from Mick haven't arrived yet, he got me the Real Techniques Core collection & Eye collection brushes, from Amazon (I think). And my sister, Carmen is coming down in March and so she'll give me my prize when she's down!
