Collective Haul

Hi lovlies!

I have recently been trying out a few new products that I've purchased lately, and I thought I'd share my thoughts on them :) I have filmed a video on my YouTube channel about them if you'd like to check it out, but for a more in-depth review, I decided to do a post on them.

WARNING: this is going to be pretty long, because I ramble.

These haircare items have been lovely. I've been dying to try out Garnier's new Ultimate Blends range, especially the Coconut Oil & Cocoa Butter one, for ages. And I am happy to report that I LOVE them! I used the Green Tea one whilst visiting my mom once, and I can safely say that the scents of these shampoos and conditioners are delightful, my hair feels lovely after washing it with these, and they smell fresh and healthy.

The Pantene Intensive Hair Masque is one of my new favorite haircare products. I. LOVE. THIS. As soon as I apply it to my hair it is INSTANTLY smoother. And there is a definite difference the next day; my hair looks and feels a lot silkier, and it has a gorgeous shine... People often comment on how my hair looks blonder.

Now, I have very sensitive skin, and somewhat problematic. I am naturally prone to the typical breakout every so often, and so I look for products that may help reduce that, or speed up the clearing process.

I'd never tried the African Extracts range but I'd always been interested to. I decided to give the Rooibos Deep Cleaning Face Wash and Rooibos Vanishing Cream a try. The face wash is brilliant, it truly is a deep cleanser, it remove make up with complete ease, without leaving any beyond, you have to wonder if you need your second cleanse or not haha. And I had never tried a "vanishing cream" before, but I was also pleasantly surprised by that too. I only use this cream at night because I find it very thick, for the day, and before makeup application, so I use this in my night time routine, and I will mix it with three drops of my Vitamin E oil, to give my skin a bit more care. I wake up in the morning with a very happy, and clearer looking face, so I am very happy with these two products.

Another skincare product is this The Body Shop face mask. It is the Seaweed Oil-Balancing Clay Mask, and I bought this because I really enjoy their Tea Tree Skin Clearing Clay Mask, so I thought I'd pick up another from the range.

This actually made my skin feel like it was burning when I first used it (I think it's because I don't have particularly oily skin), but I stuck it out for 15 minutes, and I then followed it up with a toner, once I washed it off, and then my moisturizer... they both did not help with the burning. But I left it, went to bed, and the net morning my skin was silky smooth, and I was super happy with it. So, I did it again, it was more bareable, but still hurt a bit, but I'm alright with it because my skin needs it every once in a while... in my opinion. Obviously if this happens to you, maybe test how your skin will react and not have a negative reaction to it. But I'm happy to still use it.

These two beauts are part of my staple makeup collection, I always have my NYX Lingerie with me now, because it is a classic, everyday nude (Bedtime Flirt), and the setting spray really does make me have a slight glow, dewy finish. Especially when I have a matte finish foundation, it helps a lot. I am excited to get more Lingeries and other NYX products because so far I'm loving them.

Real Techniques brushes. These are really special to me, because I have ALWAYS wanted them. They are all so great, I was fortunate enough to be gifted both the Core Collection and Eye Collection from Mick for my 20th. I use the Stippling brush and Buffing brush for foundation application, and they both give beautiful, polished finished looks. The eye shadow brush is so soft and gentle, it's my preferred shadow brush that I own. And I really enjoy the Accent brush from the Eye Collection because it is so small, and easy to work with for small detail.

I have been loving these two shirts. The white and blue polka dot shirt was bought in Struisbaai, on my family long weekend was, and it is one of my all time favorite shirts I own. It is soft, flows, baggy, but very comfy, and I enjoy hoe lightweight it feels.

The floral shirt is from Pick 'n Pay Clothing, and I got it on sale. It is a collarless, button up shirt, with cuffs, and a slight tail at the back. I love wearing this to sightly more formal events, or just to add a little extra to the outfit, because I think it is so beautiful, I don't have anything like it.

These chokers were gifts to me by my sister Nicole, from a lady at there work who apparently gets these fro Italy. I think it's safe to say that I have been LIVING in these. I've never owned a chocker, so I'm a bit obsessed now heheh. I think they really compliment an outfit, and I am loving the trend at the moment, I am so ordering more from Nicole.

Ohhhh candles... one of thee most exciting products! I love these! My favourite one (if you've seen my latest videos) you'll see how much I love my Sorbet Spa Escape candle. I adore everything about it; the packaging, the scent, the atmosphere it gives off. This scent is one that I love from Sorbet, it is the Sea Botanicals scent that my mom has used, it makes me think of spas and the ocean, which are both very relaxing, so you can understand why I love it.

The second candle was also bought on the Struisbaai trip, and it is a candle from Charisma, in the scent of Jasmine. It is stunning, it has a beautiful floral smell that just uplifts you. I also like its packaging, and the colour.

I have also included my new favorite hand cream in my favorite scent, Spa Escape Sea Botanicals, by Sorbet. It makes me smile every time I put it on, and I usually make others sniff my hand, so I look like a werido. Shocker.

And then the last things I've got, are these books. These are books by Zoella (Zoe Sugg), and I absolutely love them! I haven't read the third book, Girl Online Going Solo just yet, I'm starting soon, but I loved the first two when I read them last year. These books are one of the reasons why I started a blog. They reminded me of how therapeutic and enjoyable writing is, even if I just ramble for an age. They make me smile and laugh, and they are books that are perfectly relatable and understandable to the current generation. I truly enjoy these, and they are something that motivates me, and inspires me.

So, that's all of it. I know it was a long one... but when is it ever not (sorryyyyyy). I really do enjoy this and it is therapeutic to me, it keeps me aware of how I feel and what to decide about things.

I hope you enjoyed reading, if you made this far. Please comment so I can get feedback, and could you also please share my blog around, I really appreciate it!

I'll catch up again soon, thanks so much. x
